Pelvic Floor Myalgia A 75-year-old woman contacted me regarding excruciating pain she had suffered in her pelvic area for five years. The doctors were unable to establish the cause of the pain and gave her the diagnosis of "pelvic floor myalgia." She had been managing the pain with drugs, but the morphine she had been taking was not working any more. She was quite distressed that no one seemed to be able to help her. The first few BodyTalk treatments were conducted in person, but the rest were done at a distance at the initiation of the client whenever her pain was active. After the first treatment, this client experienced some relief from the pain, but it lasted only for a few hours. Over the next week, she reported that the pain-free periods were increasing. This client felt encouraged enough to take the BodyTalk Modules 1&2 training herself. She has continued to conduct self-treatments and is currently pain-free. Click here for more case studies. |
